Seroxo is a clinical-stage IVD company developing a proprietary platform technology that enables rapid measurement of Immune Dysfunction, with applications in cancer, sepsis, and COVID. The Leukocyte ImmunoTest™ (or LIT™), our ten-minute finger-prick point-of-care blood test assesses real-time neutrophil function through a patented assay that has been shown to be superior to current biomarkers for a range or clinical applications, including i.) cancer – where risk stratification and early detection of metastatic cancer have been demonstrated in two clinical trials, and ii.) sepsis – where LIT™ has been shown to more responsive for monitoring clinical progression compared with current biomarkers such as neutrophil count or C-reactive protein. With clinical data from over 600 patients in nine (9) clinical trials to date and a growing number of publications in peer-reviewed journals, Seroxo is confident LIT™ will transform patient monitoring and management in the cancer clinic, ambulance, emergency room, hospital ward, ICU and GP surgery. In the longer term, the assay will be developed into an advanced cloud-connected home test for monitoring patients with a range of conditions. Seroxo is targeting a Total Addressable Market worth $12.7 billion.

Seroxo has one granted patent (for stratification and monitoring of cancer; granted in the US, EU, and Japan) and two pending patents (for monitoring sepsis and COVID-19). As part of its IP, the company owns two parameters (LIT & LIT/N, where N is Neutrophil Count) that will become common parameters to be measured or a range of conditions in hospitals and clinics globally in years to come.
Seroxo was founded in March 2020 by Dr David Sarphie (CEO) and Dr Rubina Mian (CSO). Previously, Dr Sarphie was a co-founder of PowderJect (an early UK biotech success), while Dr Mian has worked in both the pharmaceutical industry and academia for over 25 years.
