Your role

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will be responsible for the direct selling of Gentronix services, delivering annual revenue targets and growth, focused on establishing new and enhancing our existing client relationships. You will win opportunities by providing customers with intellectual input into project design and best in class scientific knowledge and support.  You will be continually developing your consultative selling approach in order to offer a value proposition to the customer experience and enhance the Gentronix reputation as a best in class, customer-led partner.

Specifically you will:

  • Have direct responsibility for the growth of Gentronix Services to meet defined revenue targets
  • Develop an annual account plan for assigned market segment and report quarterly progress
  • Have responsibility for sales and revenue forecasting in defined markets
  • Develop and implement strategies for the growth of existing key clients and seeking out new opportunities with new clients
  • Develop and maintain an extensive market knowledge , including detailed knowledge of our competitors, their activities and business risk
  • Maintain up to date and accurate CRM records
  • Provide accurate sales reporting and forecasting of future opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with our internal teams to drive opportunities forward and provide clients with the information they need as efficiently as possible
  • Manage customer expectations with effective communication - utilising on-site discussions, telephone/video communication and written communication
  • Have a focus on continual improvement of your scientific knowledge and new developments in predictive toxicology
  • Provide regular reports and forecasts to the management team on progress made towards achieving your business targets
  • Contribute to Gentronix service development through effective communication of market trends and unmet customer needs
  • Represent Gentronix at exhibitions, conferences and tradeshows

About you

To join us as our Business Development Manager, you will need:

  • Degree in Life Sciences preferred, PhD highly desirable
  • Significant CRO business development experience in toxicology services is highly desirable
  • A proven track record in life science sales, with demonstrable experience of achieving sustained growth within customer accounts
  • Capable of self-motivation and independence
  • Client focused approach with the ability to build strong client relationships
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Articulate and confident presentation style, with a focus on client relationship building
