OBN Appoints New Chair

Paul Edwards

OBN are delighted to announce the appointment of a new Chair with effect from December 2023. Paul Edwards, MBE has been a non-executive director of the OBN Board since March 2021 and has a thorough understanding of both OBN and the sector. Paul is a Managing Partner of executive search firm SCi Partners and executive Chair of monoclonal antibody specialist IsomAb. He has over 40 years’ experience in domestic and international life sciences from both the industry and service sides and in 1997 he received an MBE for services to biotechnology.

Commenting on his new role Paul said “I am deeply honoured and delighted to be the new Chair of OBN. This is an organisation that continues to provide huge levels of support for the entire UK Life Sciences sector, and I look forward to working, even more closely, with Stuart and his brilliant team.”

Paul takes over from David Browning who served as Chair from September 2020 through to December 2023. David remains on the Board of OBN as a non-executive director.  Stuart Rose, OBN’s CEO said “I am delighted to welcome Paul into the chair role within the OBN Board. His depth of experience in life sciences, both from the industry and service sides adds a hugely valuable perspective that will be important in OBN’s continued growth and the servicing of our membership which continues to grow towards 500. I would also like to thank David Browning for his tireless efforts as chair since 2020 and am delighted that David will stay on the Board as a non-executive director.”
