Position:       Senior Scientist

Location:      Glasgow and Oxford – Two Year Fixed Contract

Salary:           Competitive

Glox Therapeutics is developing precision protein antibiotics to target bacterial pathogens that show high levels of resistance to conventional antibiotics due to the spread of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). AMR is a major global public health crisis predicted to cause 10 million deaths per year by 2050 at a cost of $100 trillion unless new classes of antibiotics are developed.

Glox Therapeutics novel engineered protein bacteriocin antibiotics are designed to precisely target pathogenic bacteria without collateral damage to the microbiome. Maintenance of a healthy microbiome is essential to prevent AMR due to the use of broad-spectrum antibiotics.
