PsiOxus Therapeutics Ltd is an award-winning UK/US development stage biotechnology company developing novel “tumour re-engineering” therapeutics for the treatment of cancer, with a focus on immunotherapeutic approaches.  Our clinically validated T-SIGn vector platform can deliver multiple therapeutic payloads to drive sustained reprogramming of the tumor micro-environment in both primary and metastatic sites thus enabling a new paradigm for future cancer care . We have a rapidly expanding pipeline of novel monotherapy and combination products to dramatically improve outcomes for patients with cancer.  We have active collaborations in the UK & USA, including Bristol Myers Squibb, bluebird bio (Boston) on T-SIGn combinations with CAR-T cell therapy and with the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy (San Francisco).

We have an exciting opportunity for a Scientist to join our Translational Medicine team. In this position you will support our clinical studies by performing patient sample analysis using a range of techniques including qPCR, RT-qPCR, Nanostring, ELISA, Luminex and FACS.

Key areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing testing of human clinical samples.
  • Interpreting data, troubleshooting issues and identifying potential next steps.
  • Authoring and review of documents including SOPs, Test Methods and Analytical Plans and Reports.
  • Documenting compliance and operating to both internal PsiOxus and GCP quality standards.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated self-starter with a relevant life science degree and / a Masters’ degree. This role could suit someone straight out of university or having up to 1 – 2 years’ relevant industry experience after graduating. A good knowledge of working to GCP would be advantageous but is not essential.

You should be comfortable working to tight deadlines and capable of readily adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced, team-focused scientific environment.  The ability to innovate is essential, as is a proven ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a team.
