OBN (UK) Ltd, the membership organisation that supports the life sciences industry, is delighted to announce the success of their new event BioSeed® which was held on 14th November at EY’s London offices.

BioSeed® has been designed to provide a platform for innovative life science companies to present and meet with sector specific early stage investors. The inaugural event saw 56 CEOs and decision makers present their companies to a floor of 80 investors and 20 sponsor guests. The attendees enjoyed in-sight full discussions facilitated by the 350 partnering one-to-one meetings which took place between companies and investors keen to learn more about investment opportunities. The events one day format – with presentations in the morning, a networking lunch and partnering sessions in the afternoon - offered plenty of opportunities for companies and investors to network.

John Harris, CEO of OBN said, “We are delighted with the massive success of the inaugural BioSeed® event in London; As a network that supports the life science industry we are really pleased to have delivered a high-quality event in a cost-effective format, that genuinely meets the needs of both early stage companies seeking seed funding and investors seeking access to exciting new opportunities. OBN continues to innovatively support the sustained success and growth of our industry, contributing not only to a strong economy for the UK but also to better long-term patient outcomes across all therapeutic areas.”

Life Sciences companies will have another opportunity to present their innovative technology at BioLaunchPad™, OBNs newly launched company showcase presentation session which will take place at BioTrinity 2018 (23 – 25 April in London).  BioSeed® presenters are eligible for a 20% discount until 22 December 2017.
