The Pistoia Alliance is a fast-growing, multinational, member-driven, non-profit, life sciences industry group dedicated to advancing innovation in life science R&D through pre-competitive collaboration.

They are seeking to hire an IT Systems and Services Leader as they upgrade their systems and processes to support a growing membership in life sciences, digital, new science and technology arenas, as well as geographic expansion into Asia. This is a hands-on role with the purpose of ensuring the quality and availability of Pistoia Alliance IT systems and services to all internal and external users.

Key aspects of the role will include reviewing the processes and systems to deliver a more efficient working environment with the right tools for the right jobs at the right price. This will include Procuring and implementing IT services and, throughout the service lifecycle, analysing and coordinating with and stakeholders, in relation to the technology services the organisation needs. In addition, this will require the creation of adequate documentation, information repositories, user training and other items essential for knowledge gathering, transfer and retention. Key will be Ensuring appropriate policies and processes are in place for on-boarding new users and off-boarding departing users and providing Bring You Own Device (BYOD) guidance for all stakeholders.

The candidate must have IT service operations experience, including prior management experience in procuring and implementing IT services and the management and maintenance of relationship with suppliers. The role holder needs good interpersonal skills and be a strong influencer of customers and delivery teams at all levels, ensuring that services are managed to agreed levels of availability and performance.
