Job Summary

Ervaxx is seeking a Financial Controller/Finance Director to be responsible for planning, execution, oversight and analysis for all company finance activities. The Financal Controller/Finance Director role will report to the COO and provide leadership, as an individual finance expert, for the day to day management of the company’s financial processes & systems, including corporate finance, treasury, accounts, tax, and payroll/benefits. 

Key Responsibilities

Management of external accountancy & tax consultants to co-ordinate and seamlessly deliver ongoing management of outsourced finance activities, including payroll/benefits, accounts/invoice/purchase ledger, VAT returns, & tax planning.   
Define and manage corporate financial forecasts and annual budget process in line with overall corporate strategy
Define and manage overall treasury policy & corporate bank accounts/credit cards
Tracking and reporting of financial information in line with executive team, Board,  shareholder requirements, including monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance sheet, Cashflow)
Oversight of financial audit process and production of statutory accounts
Ensure submission of UK and US corporate financial account information and tax returns
Oversight and financial management of Employee Equity stock option scheme and maintenance of company capitalisation table
Financial management of group entities in UK and USA.
Financial modelling, analysis and reporting to support corporate equity fundraising and business development activities
Establish financial systems, process and practices as required to support company growth, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience required

ACCA or CIMA qualified with 5 years experience and excellent understanding of international legal compliance and regulations
Prior experience with private equity finance/fundraising and oversight of outsourced financial activities is preferable
Prior experience in rapidly growing corporate environment, ideally in biotech or pharmaceuticals. 
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the company and with external shareholders, auditors, regulators.
