Medical Director : Interim / Permanent

Reporting directly to the company’s CEO, the successful candidate will oversee and manage all clinical operations and regulatory development activities relating to all of its development programmes.  Specifically, a number of Phase 3 programmes for 2 products in Europe and the US, a separate product programme in the UK and a range of early stage pipeline programmes into the clinic.

The Medical Director will assume overall responsibility for the compliant execution of all clinical programmes in line with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and in accordance with the statutory requirements of the European and US regions in which the studies are being conducted.

Seeking ambitious Junior Scientist for exciting opportunity in microbiome biotherapeutics

To support our multi-disciplinary team, based at the Synthetic Biology Research Centre at the University of Nottingham, we are now recruiting for a

Junior Scientist.

The role will include:

  • Supporting research and development work
  • Supporting senior scientist in day to day running of the laboratory:
    • Preparing and maintaining stock solutions and media
    • Maintaining calibration status of equipment
    • Environmental monitoring
    • Stock checks and ordering

What we expect of you:

  • BSc/MSc with at least 2 years’ experience working in a microbiology background
  • Sound knowledge of molecular techniques, cloning, PCR, and microbial cell culture
  • Good record keeping
  • Highly motivated team player
  • Experience with anaerobic bacteria and fermentation is desirable
