The candidate should have an extensive background in Viral vector engineering, particularly AAV, with a solid understanding of vector biology, genetics, and translational applications. Oxford Genetics has a particular focus on automation and intelligent experimental design, so experience or aptitude in bioinformatics or data science would be advantageous.

Oxford Genetics - Scientist – Viral Vector Engineering

The Scientist – Viral vector engineering will be involved in a range of internal platform development and commercial projects, predominantly focused on Adenoviral and rAAV vector engineering, production, and analysis. The Scientist role is expected to drive and lead specific projects and areas of research from the bench, while providing support and training to Associate Scientists and technicians working in the group, which addresses both viral vector engineering and novel bioproduction methodologies.

The team consists of Bioinformatics scientists as well as an Automation sub-team – a key part of the role will be to expand the remit of these teams, as well as taking overall responsibility for scientific data management within the company.
